With news of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) front and center, JA of Black Forest is ensuring the health and safety of our volunteers, students, and staff while working to carry out our mission.
We are following the procedures laid out by the school districts and counties in which our facilities reside and where our in-class programming and events are taking place. Please visit the school district website that pertains to you for specific closure information. Note that if there's a cancellation, you will be personally contacted by a JA staff member if you are signed up for an event, as a volunteer, as an educator, etc.
JA's traditional in-class program delivery model is built around volunteers coming into the classroom so that students can learn from the expertise of professionals who work in their communities. With the outbreak of COVID-19, we are adjusting our model to meet the needs of our communities who are working to stay healthy, including teacher-led programming and virtual program delivery.
