Junior Achievement: The Catalyst!

This post originally appeared on the #JAMatters website and was submitted by JA alumnus Matthew Meis.

I have participated in many Junior Achievement (JA) programs including JA Success Skills, JA Company ProgramJA Exploring EconomicsJA Job Shadow TM, Excellence Through Ethics (a local R&D program), and the JA Titan Business Challenge. These all have helped me to understand business from various angles and have honed my brain for the business world. They have also helped me to start my own business (which won the Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2009) and join the JA board of directors locally. Being a student of JA and then seeing how the organization works behind the scenes has been a very enriching and rewarding experience, and also lead me to volunteer in the classroom.

The JA programs are a great way for any student or community member to get involved and learn something. JA continues to bring communities together and build students' minds outside the classroom to understand business concepts that will help them in their future. JA is the catalyst we need in our world today!
